Best Way to Blog?

Hey everyone,

I've been AWOL for a while so sorry if this has been addressed. I have set up a blog for my wife. www.jessica-berg.blogspot.com

Reading a couple things on Need a Topic has me thinking I may want to change to another format. I've been looking at WordPress. I want to look professional but not spend much (if any) money. Also is there a way to run ads as a way to make a little money on WordPress blogs?

I love WP, Chad. Thousands of free plugins, plus the ability to own your site, make it the best option in my eyes. I do suggest hiring a designer if you want to look professional. It's well worth the money.

You can run ads on any sure, though I rarely see them look good. You work hard to send people ti your site, why would you want them to click an ad and leave? I'd prefer you monetize by creating products or other things your readers want.
