What a great idea for a group Derek! I'm looking forward to helping people maintain the motivation that it takes to free themselves from the slavery that is debt!

Exciting news! For those of you in the Raleigh area, we're getting ready to launch a whole slew of Boot Camps! Check out the Events page to find one for you. We'll be teaching about saving money, creating a budget that actually works, and systematically eliminating your debt so you can achieve financial freedom!

I just had my taxes filed today and we'll be getting back a pretty good refund, which I know Dave says isn't a good thing, but for us, this year, it will be. We'll be able to rebuild our BEF and pay off a few other debts! After the few smaller debts are paid off, we'll have an extra 600 a month to add to the snowball! I'm so excited! Maybe we will finally be able to get some traction!

Derek, I got a raise at work. I'll be bringing home an extra $123 dollars a month. I know Dave Ramsey would say add it to my debt snowball BUT when I get 100 percent matching on my 401K if I added to my 401K it is hard to resist that return. What are your thought on just dividing it in half. 50% in 401K and 50% added to debt snowball?

Awesome, Jon! Way to go with dumping that debt!

Anyone else paid anything off recently? I know there are some folks getting closer to the We Did It! group as we speak!

How to Become a Life Coach

What will you do during your first year as a coach? If you're just starting out as a new coach, you're probably starting to realize that during your first year, you're spending a lot of time doing things OTHER than coaching.  Starting a website, starting a blog, social media, marketing, etc.  These are all important steps but many coaches lose site of the fact that all these tactics need to be part of a larger strategy.StrategyI spend thousands of dollars each year on training programs and most…See More
