I wouldn't drop your rates unless you want to compete on price. And you're not offering a service that people should be price shopping. I know you can add much more value and a premium service and blow the other guys out of the water.

Blogging will get you some serious traction...over time. If you're just starting it will likely take 6-12 months to see a return. The key is to get out there with all the media options (facebook, twitter, other blogs, linkedin, forums, etc.) and add value to the conversations that are happending.

I've been putting together some tutorials that should help a lot at coachradio.tv.

Let me know what you're doing to get the word out Jason and I'll help the best I can.

Hey Jason! It's great to have you here at Beyond Past Due!

I'm excited that you're a part of this community because you have a really unique perspective to offer - especially to others wanting to do financial coaching. I was thinking about your challenge of the other Dave Ramsey coaches charging $300 for clients regardless of the situation. The good news is that you can expand your marketing efforts outside of the DR reach (we're currently trying to do that, as well), and draw in folks that won't be comparing you to other coaches. The flip side is that whatever you offer to your prospective clients during the consultation needs to blow them away with value over the other coaches. The last thing you want is to comoditize financial coaching by following the lead of the other guys.

I'm glad you're here - we should get a discussion going for others to weigh in, also!
