Be Intentional About Life

Here are 30 ways to save some cash:

  1. Don’t buy lunch, bring it to work
  2. Keep up with the maintenance on your vehicles
  3. Never buy a new car, always purchased used
  4. Raise your deductibles on your insurances
  5. Disability insurance: extend the waiting period, this will lower the premium (keep is to have an emergency fund)
  6. Eliminate TV (Did you black out?)
  7. Ok, for starters, lets lower the cable bill to the basics
  8. Never buy retail. Use Ebay, Craigslist, Amazon
  9. Lower the minutes on your cell phone (check your minutes and history first)
  10. Cancel your house phone (www.magicjack.com is a great subsitute)
  11. Eat leftovers.
  12. Lower the amount on your Internet connection (usually just as fast but $10 cheaper)
  13. Eat what you buy from the grocery store (instead of eating out.....my vice). Check out AllRecipes.com
  14. Plan before you go shopping …..& DO NOT go shopping while you are hungry. Check out E-Mealz
  15. Drink water
  16. Make your own coffee & bring it! (instead of Starbucks....another vice of mine)
  17. Coupons ( I know...... annoying, but worth it if done right). Check out MoneySavingMom
  18. Pay your bills on time
  19. Balance your checkbook and avoid the late charges.
  20. Iron your own clothes, stay away from the dry cleaners
  21. Swap clothes with other moms for the kiddos
  22. Swap kids with other families to save on  babysitting
  23. Buy generic drugs
  24. Buy clothes at consignment shops
  25. Walk and/or run with friends instead of joining a gym
  26. Buy clothes that are not in season
  27. Pay with cash. 16-18% is spent more when using a debit or credit card
  28. Stay away from the video games....play outside instead (I know, what a novel idea?!!)
  29. Split a meal when going on date night
  30. Carpool. With gas prices going up, this could be a much more viable option.

Hope this helps......
